I’m so excited to be a part of this craft lightning challenge – to come up with a teacher appreciation gift in under 15 minutes. The best part of this project is that you can customise this a hundred ways to use materials you already have at home. I’m clearly not a teacher, but I feel like having a fresh floral arrangement on your desk would be a great way to ring in spring.
Supplies:
Tall mason jar Wide burlap ribbon Suede ribbon or twine Chalkboard tag Chalk pen Tape Flowers Hot glue gun
The first step is to add water to your jar and hot glue the burlap around the middle.
The trick I’ve learned to make arranging flowers really easy is to use a tape grid for structure. In this case, I only needed to add two strips of tape. Once you add the tape, screw the lid on top to hold it in place.
Add the large base flowers first, followed by smaller filler flowers. Insert the feature flower(s) last so they don’t get lost.
Once all of your flowers are in place, wrap the string around the jar a few times and attach the tag. Voila!
