Hi! It’s Angela from Life in Velvet sharing a festive pumpkin cloche card along with Sizzix. I love the idea of sending a pretty fall note, just a little something thoughtful before the wave of holiday cards begin to arrive. I’ve become obsessed with cloches, and all of the cool and pretty things you can put in them. A cloche is basically just a fancy bell-shaped glass jar, often placed on a pedestal.

Start with a plain 5″ x 7″ card. Cut a 4.5″ x 6.5″ sheet of patterned paper to use as a background, and attach it to the card with double-sided tape.

Die cut your pumpkin using the multipurpose platform, Pumpkin Framelits die and one cutting pad.

Cut your velum and wood texture paper down to a size so that they both fit on the Bell Jar with Pedestal die. Die cut the jar and pedestal using the die and two cutting pads.

Die cut the leaves using the Mini Tattered Leaves die and two cutting pads.

Apply adhesive circles to the pumpkin and attach it to the background, centered on the card. As an option, cut a small piece of green cardstock into a leaf for your pumpkin and add a small dot of hot glue to stick it to the background. Apply adhesive circles to the pedestal and one just to the neck of the cloche. This won’t show, as the leaves and bow will cover it up.

Place the pedestal base so the pumpkin looks like it is resting on top, and add the cloche. Wrap the twine or ribbon around the top of the cloche and tie a bow. Slip the stems of the leaves underneath the bow, and add a tiny drop of hot glue to keep the leaves and bow in place.

• Textured orange cardstock – Any shade and pattern will work
• Cardstock scraps in a variety of fall colors for the leaves
• Velum sheet – either clear or frosted
• Brown or wood-grain paper for the pedestal – I used left-over wrapping paper with a wood pattern
• Twine or thin ribbon
• Recollections foam adhesive circles
• Hot glue gun
• Elmer’s CraftBond Permanent Tape Runner
