Painless Bookcase Painting {Plus a Giveaway}

I found these great bookcases at Home Depot for only $30 each. They are laminate, and I was nervous about painting them at first. Using my HomeRight Finish Max Pro and good primer made this project a breeze though! Can you image how many painful days it would take me to finish these painting by hand (and how much therapy Mike and I would need afterwards?) With the Finish Max Pro I was able to finish priming and painting two coats over just two afternoons.
I don’t typically sand laminate out of concern for damaging the surface, so I skipped that step. The key thing with laminate is to use primer specifically for slick surfaces. I have always had good luck with Zinsser All Surface Primer, and I love Valspar Ultra Paint+Primer for all types of projects. You can use primer with this sprayer, which is fantastic. I just needed to slightly thin the primer with water according to the instructions on the can.
The HomeRight Finish Max Pro gives an amazingly professional and fine finish. Clean up is also speedy and easy (which is an absolute requirement in my book.)
I will be using this sprayer for all furniture painting projects in the future. I love the way my bookcases turned out, and I look forward to the countless hours I’m going to save.
If you wish you had your own HomeRight Finish Max Pro right about now, you are in luck! One fortunate person will win their very own HomeRight Finish Max Pro sprayer! Just follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget below for your chance to win! This giveaway is valid for US residents ages 18 and over. Void in Alaska and Hawaii.
*Disclosure: I was provided product for this review, however all opinions are 100% my own.

How long does it take to let it dry? I tried painting my bench and even though it was dry to the touch, it ended up peeling after a few days. It was also laminate.
