Sometimes I just want to have fun and bake something delicious and not fussy. I decided to enhance a boxed brownie mix for a tailgating dessert of twix and pretzel brownies last weekend. There are a million yummy things you can do to doctor plain brownies. I love sweet and salty together, so I went with Twix and pretzels.
Use any brownie mix you like (our long-standing family favorite is Ghirardelli.) Crush up your Twix and fold into the mix. One tip I’ve learned is to line the bottom of your pan with a piece of parchment paper. That makes getting the brownies out a lot easier. Lightly spray the edges of your pan and the parchment paper with cooking spray. Pour the brownie mix into the pan and top with pretzels.
Bake according to the box directions.
Enjoy! I would love to hear about your brownie creations!
