Floating Shelves

Posted on May 16, 2025May 14, 2026 By Becky
I love floating shelves. They are a wonderful solution for small spaces and can bring major interest to an otherwise blank wall.

Wall mounted shelving provides a clean, modern look and allows you to take full advantage of your vertical real estate.

You can use these in just about any room.

Here’s my take. Along with a mirror, these allowed me to add some style to a boring wall in our living room. Depending on the size and hanging hardware, floating shelves can range from easy to very frustrating to install. Ours are from Crate and Barrel, and I was able to install them myself (after several misplaced holes and some yelling.) They are so worth the work though!

Me again……and picture #4. I want them for a dining room wall but need a small lip on them so nothing falls off. Thanks again!
