Kraft and Gold | Gift Wrap and Tags

Posted on May 16, 2025June 4, 2025 By Becky

Rustic gold and kraft gift wrap

I love my gift wrap as you know. To me, the exchange of gifts and creative wrapping only adds to the holiday fun this time of year. I certainly don’t think that every holiday gift should be elaborate and gift-wrapped to the hilt. In my opinion, simple, thoughtful gifts presented in a clever way are the absolute best. Here are a few inexpensive and easy ideas to add a special touch to your gifts.

I set up a little assembly line in our living room, and with just a few items from Amazon I created kraft and gold gift wrap and coordinating tags.

Gold gift wrap supplies

Supplies:

Assorted gift bags and tissue
Gold and kraft wrapping paper
Washi Tape
Linen sheet (in the scrapbooking aisle)
Letter stickers
Ribbon
Plain tags
Accents (I used really inexpensive gold doilies and glittery branches)
Spray adhesive (to attach doilies)
Mod Podge (to prevent glitter shedding)

Gift bags are a great option for awkwardly shaped gifts and they are also a huge time saver. Attaching a small embellishment allows you to add a special personal touch.

To make the bags, I cut the doilies and sprayed a little spray adhesive on the back. For the white tags, I used pre-made plain tags and ran them through my Cuttlebug to add texture. For the linen tags, I cut a sheet of linen into the shape I wanted and attached them with two strips of washi tape.

In addition to a tag and ribbon, I often like to add some sort of accent to my gifts. I chose these inexpensive branches and sealed the glitter with a light coat of Mod Podge to prevent shedding.
